As part of a comprehensive set of services that facilitate a supportive transition from military life to a liberal arts college environment, the VRC provides veterans with a dedicated space to socialize, study, and network.
The VRC is also able to help veterans prepare for admission to Whittier College, apply for financial aid, GI Bill® benefits, request for Certification of Benefits, and secure funding through sources like the Yellow Ribbon Program or scholarships.
Whittier College and the Veteran Resource Center are not affiliated with the Department of Veterans Affairs. For questions regarding payments, please call 888.442.4551.
The Veteran Resource Center (VRC) serves as a central hub for support and resources tailored to veteran and military-connected students. It offers a welcoming space for students to connect, study, and access academic support and referrals. The VRC is equipped with computers, free printing, and a complimentary coffee and snack station, making it an ideal place to relax or recharge between classes.
In addition to daily support, the VRC hosts a variety of programs throughout the academic year, including monthly Lunch and Learn events featuring campus and community resources, rotating office hours with the Career Center and Center for Advising and Academic Success, and team-building activities and group outings.
