Failing to enroll in or waive the College's health plan will result in an automatic charge for the full cost of the Student Health plan to the student's account. Changes may be made at any time during the open enrollment period.
Students who wish to enroll in the College-offered plan may do so during the open enrollment period. This plan provides comprehensive and continuous coverage that lasts year-round beginning on September 1 - August 31 of the current academic year. For an additional cost, this plan may cover your spouse, registered domestic partner, and/or your children.
Students who participate in a health plan as a dependent may continue to do so during their time at Whittier College. Students wishing to waive the College-sponsored student health plan must do so during the open enrollment period.
All students are eligible to receive medical care during the summer so long as the $250 health fee has been paid. You do not need to be enrolled at Whittier College for the summer session to be eligible to receive care through our clinic.
This health fee is waived under the following conditions:
1. If you are receiving services for health clearance for college health entrance.
2. For continuity of care for services rendered in a previous semester.
3. If you are currently enrolled for the summer session at Whittier College.
Students who have graduated are no longer eligible to receive care at the Student Health & Wellness Center.
