The Library has PC laptops and MacBook Pro laptops available for short-term checkout by students, faculty, and staff members. Check out all computer and technology equipment at the circulation desk.
Laptops
Wardman Library currently has eight Dell Latitude 5410 laptops and eight MacBook Pro laptops, all of which are available for six-hour checkouts. The Dell laptops may be renewed one time but the MacBook laptops cannot be renewed. Overdue fines will be charged at a rate of $25 per hour. After being overdue for 24 hours, laptops will be declared lost and the borrower will be charged a replacement fee for the original cost of the computer. Laptops may not be borrowed overnight. Software updates or technology issues occur time to time and the Library cannot guarantee all 16 laptops will always be available.
Installed Applications
All PC laptops are running Windows 10 and come equipped with Microsoft Office, Firefox, Chrome, and other applications. MacBook Pro laptops have Microsoft Office, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Firefox, Chrome, and other standard apps. Each laptop is also configured to print to any Library printer through PaperCut.
When you check out a laptop for the first time each year, you will need to read and sign our borrower responsibility form at the Circulation Desk. You can find our laptop and tablet lending policies in our Equipment Policies and Borrower Responsibility Agreement.
