This style manual is for use primarily by those in the Whittier College community who maintain content in the whittier.edu public facing website.
This manual is also meant to be a fluid document, updated often to reflect current usage and changes on campus. We welcome comments and suggestions to help us keep it current, relevant, and useful.
This guide has been produced by, and maintained by the Whittier College Office of Communications, mediarelations@whittier.edu.
The approved font families for the Whittier College website are Pakt Condensed and Proxima Nova.
Pakt Condensed is a sans-serif to be used for banner department titles, large calls to action, and image grid titles. Pakt Condensed should appear uppercase in almost every circumstance.
Proxomia Nova, a sans-serif should be used for all body copy, and headlines. Body copy and page titles should use Proxima Nova regular, and headlines should use Proxima Nova bold.
whittier.edu utilizes a blend of headline 1 (h1), headline 2 (h2), and headline 3 (h3) elements.
Page titles use the heading 1 (h1) style. Page titles will appear in gray.
The content lead (subhead) use heading 2 (H2) style.
Section dividers use the heading 3 (h3) style.
