Whittier operates local chapters of national honorary academic and leadership societies.
Members of these organizations are selected based on criteria such as grade point average, and, in general, exhibit a keen dedication to scholarship, service, and leadership.
Phi Epsilon Kappa
Phi Epsilon Kappa is the national honor society for Kinesiology. The Whittier College Kinesiology Department achieved national recognition in the fall of 2004 when it was approved by the National Board of Directors to be a PEK chapter. Inductees must be of junior or senior standing who have made academic and leadership commitments to the advancement of Kinesiology and Leisure Science Department.
