They balance developing written and verbal skills around contemporary visual culture with courses in design, photography, game art or animation. They both study the histories and theories of images in relation to power, ethics, and representation and learn the foundational creative production skills that are increasingly valuable across career pathways.
Vis/Vis students understand how images communicate and want to work in professions that value visual culture and communication. Students interested in activism and advocacy, PR, advertising, social media, visual storytelling, and creative positions in the museum and cultural sectors will thrive in this major.
