Alianza de los Amigos Martin Ortiz Fellowship

The Martin Ortiz Fellowship would provide select students with an award to do a summer internship or research under the guidance of a Whittier College faculty member. Ortiz Fellows will be able to take on opportunities that would be otherwise inaccessible due to financial concerns and obligations. The fellowship experience will also enhance the student's career and graduate school preparedness.

The Ortiz Programs

The Ortiz Programs continue the legacy of Martin Ortiz by supporting first-generation college students and their families through academic and career development resources. Your support helps the Programs serve as a bridge between students, parents, alumni, community organizations, and the Whittier College family—fostering inclusive engagement and empowering students who are committed to leadership, service, and educational advancement.
