The minor in Public Health provides a formal area of academic study in the health sciences that builds on the inter-disciplinarity that is a hallmark of a Whittier College education and, most importantly, is accessible to a wide range of students, regardless of major.
Core required courses introduce students to the Public Health field, provide training in methodology, and connect students to policy makers and the community. Elective courses include three major topic areas in public health: Social/Behavioral/Cultural Science, Environmental Science, and Biomedical Science.
