Residential Life Staff Descriptions
Area Directors (AD)
ADs are full-time, live-in professional staff specifically trained in all aspects of residential life, including counseling, conflict mediation, programming, and discipline. Housed in Stauffer, Turner, and Wanberg Halls, each AD has comprehensive responsibility and oversight of a residential area housing approximately 200 students.
Resident Advisors (RA)
RAs are full-time students and paraprofessional staff members trained by the Housing & Residential Life professional staff. Each RA supervises a floor in all aspects of residential living. RAs are role models who serve the needs of students by providing program opportunities, developing safe and comfortable residence hall communities and helping students become acquainted with the campus, the community and its resources.
We are not currently in our hiring process for Resident Advisors. Check back in October 2016 for our recruitment process for 2017-18 academic year RA positions.
