You study athletes' movements closely - a batter's swing, a swimmer's stroke, a gymnast's leap - and you marvel at how incredible the human body is.
You're into nutrition and fitness and are interested in exploring where science meets athleticism. You've also known since kindergarten that the leg bone's connected to the knee bone but now you're ready to learn how those bones change with age and how they heal after an injury.
Hey, you might be a Kinesiology major.
As a Kinesiology major at Whittier College, you'll take courses in anatomy, biomechanics, and the history of sports. If you choose to add a Sports Management emphasis to your Kinesiology studies, you'll also take courses in business and marketing. And, you'll get to learn alongside devoted and renowned professors in a state-of-the-art movement lab.
Once you've completed your first year at Whittier, you'll be eligible for a Global Poet Scholarship - a $2,000 award you can use to study sports, science or related topics in a foreign country.
