Currently, students applying for college admission are required to pay testing agencies to send official score reports to the institutions they are applying to. While fee waivers are available to low-income students, there is usually a limit to how many they can receive and not every student qualifies.
“If a student feels that Whittier is the right fit for them, they should be able to apply to the College without worrying about an added financial barrier,” said Falone Serna, vice president of enrollment at Whittier College.
Once the student is accepted and officially enrolls at Whittier, they will then be required to submit an official report so that the test scores may be verified. In addition, for the last few years, Whittier has had a test-optional admission policy.
