“I was surprised and elated that my research and work product in the form of a scholarly manuscript was identified as one of the best papers submitted among my academic peers, many of whom are distinguished scholars,” said Gold about his recognition. “It reinforces a sense of personal and professional distinction and demonstrates that diligence, resiliency, and ‘burning the midnight oil’ will eventually yield positive results. I am grateful that my research efforts have been encouraged and supported by some of my esteemed colleagues and the senior academic administration of Whittier College.”
Gold’s submission is titled The Affirmative Action Conundrum: The Balancing Act to Reach the Racial Equality in Employment Equilibrium. His research undertakes a comparative analysis of the affirmative or positive action framework and legal order in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The PSWALSB conference is designed for attendees to share their scholarly works and teaching innovations, and is attended by many members of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business from around the country. It is also a forum for networking, collaboration, and cooperation.
