In-person Orientation for students entering Whittier College in Fall 2024 will take place on August 19 and 20, 2024. New students will attend sessions and events created to help them successfully transition into Whittier College.
Yes, we ask that all new Poets register for the in-person experience so we can properly prepare for your participation.
All Orientation programs are designed to accommodate all students and guests, including those with disabilities. We encourage students to contact Student Accessibility Services at 562.907.4825 or sas@whittier.edu for more information.
We recommend attendees have something to take notes with during all workshops.
Though students are charged an Orientation fee (that is part of their tuition), families and guests are not required to pay a fee to attend Orientation family programs.
Whittier College has prepared a New Student Checklist to assist new students in completing the required elements as they transition into their college experience. The checklist includes links to the online housing portal, important forms for health and medical clearances, and many more items that you may find useful as you prepare to arrive on campus.
The Center for Advising and Academic Success (CAAS) oversees all academic course registration processes to assist new students as they select their first classes at Whittier College. CAAS also can assist with technical concerns related to accessing the New Student Checklist and Moodle. CAAS can be reached via email at caas@poets.whittier.edu.
Students can access their bill via their my.Whittier account. Parents and family members can access student's tuition bill only if that student grants access on their my.Whittier account through Poet Proxy Access. For more information regarding your tuition bill or how to pay, contact the Business Office.
