The Leadership Experience & Programs (LEAP) Office, English Department, and Writing Program are pleased to announce the hire of Joe Donnelly who will join the faculty this fall in the inaugural role of Assistant Professor of Journalism and New Media. Donnelly is an award-winning journalist, writer and editor. In his multidimensional career, Donnelly has worked or written for the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Times of London, Surfer’s Journal, Huck, Flaunt, Malibu, Vegas, VegasSeven, Mother Jones, takepart.com, among others.
In his role as Assistant Professor of Journalism and New Media, Donnelly will teach journalism courses and serve as the new faculty advisor for the Quaker Campus and QCTV. A new aspect of his role will be to work directly with student managers of each media and publication group in an effort to use resources more efficiently and collaborate on stories more seamlessly.
