Luis Ibarra ’02, former Poet runner and coach represented Mexico in the Pan American Games where more than 7,000 athletes from more than 41 delegations are competing in Toronto, Canada. Ibarra came in 6th in the men's steeplechase final.
Ibarra previously won the gold medal in the 3000 m steeplechase at the national open championships in Morelia, Mexico. Ibarra has qualified three times for Mexico’s National Track and Field Championships.
