Whittier College held for the first time in its history a Lavender Graduate Celebration to recognize lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) students and allies.
In a cozy ceremony at the campus center courtyard, Rosemary Llewellyn '15 and Bea Fonseca '15 gave inspirational keynote speeches and shared their struggles and conveyed a message of hope for the future. The event was coordinated by the Cultural Center, Dean of Students Office, and TOBGLAD.
