More than 70 Whittier College students and 10 Pioneer High School students presented their service learning projects at the College & Community Expo on April 18 at the student center lounge on the Whittier campus.
This annual event set up in an open house style, exhibited posters and stations where students explained to attendees about their service learning findings as they relate to topics such as autism, public health, after-school programs, music, child abuse prevention, among others. Some of the partner organizations that make these projects possible are Broadoaks School, Boys & Girls Club of Whittier, LA Philharmonic, Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts to name a few.
The Center for Engagement with Communities proudly supports these projects in part to generous funding from the BCM Foundation.
