Author Ted Conover to Visit Whittier College

Ted ConoverAccomplished author Ted Conover will be a Visiting Scholar in the Center for Collaborations with the Arts on February 23-24 when he will host student writing workshops and discuss his book Rolling Nowhere. In his book, Conover details his early experiences riding the rails which originated as an escape from college but doubled as research for his senior anthropology thesis.

Conover is the author of several books including The Routes of Man and Newjack, winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

The recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, he is Associate Professor in the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University.

Conover's public talk will take place on February 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Martin Ortiz Fire Pit adjacent to Stauffer Residence Hall. This event is open to the public and campus community.
