Dr. Maggie Koong is the chief principal at Victoria Education Organization in Hong Kong, China. A tireless advocate for young children, especially those who are most vulnerable, Koong is president of Organisation Mondiale Pour L´Éducation Préscolaire (World OMEP), an international, non-governmental and non-profit organization concerned with all aspects of children’s wellbeing, rights, and early education. Koong is an NGO representative to the United Nations and is also first vice president of UNICEF Hong Kong. She serves on numerous child- and family-related organizations in China.
Peter Verbiscar-Brown is a board member and executive director Emeritus of Global Partners for Development, a non-profit development organization founded in 1978. Thanks to Verbiscar-Brown’s leadership, Global Partners has evolved from an agency that initially used the sport of running to raise funds for a food program in Kenya to an international network, working directly with partners in East Africa to empower communities to achieve sustainable improvements.
