On Thursday, November 13, the entire Southern California region will participate in the "Great ShakeOut," the largest earthquake preparedness activity in U.S. history, involving businesses, schools, city, county, and state emergency responders, and everyday citizens. Whittier College is among 57 fellow colleges and universities in Los Angeles County that will take part in this event, giving campus community members and the College's emergency management team an opportunity to further train and prepare for a fictional disaster scenario in conjunction with various local agencies and city resources.
