Speaking to the Whittier Daily News, economics professor Geetha Rajaram says the recent $700 million federal bailout package has raised interest in economics at Whittier College. As a result, she recently hosted a discussion table during lunchtime near the Campus Inn for students who had questions. "A big part of our class discussion was very emotional. Students want to know why we're bailing out people they think are very wealthy," Rajaram said. "What I tell them is that we do want them back and running."
