As an experienced educator, Manpreet has taught a wide range of management and business administration courses, encompassing management and organizational behavior, human resource management, diversity in organizations, organizational leadership, international business, business and society, and writing seminars. Her teaching approach centers on experiential learning, empowering students with practical, real-world knowledge.
Manpreet Kaur joined Whittier College in 2018. She is an Assistant Professor in Business Administration. Manpreet received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). She has a Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Global Business from UWM. Manpreet has a Master’s in Administration with a concentration in Tourism Management and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Economics from India. She is also a certified Cultural Intelligence Facilitator.
Manpreet has also taught at California State University – Fullerton and UWM. She has over ten years of professional experience across diverse industries in management, leadership, and international process transitioning from the UK.
Manpreet’s current research focuses on workplace diversity, specifically relational demography, team diversity, and faultlines. She is also interested in exploring the effects of Positive Organizational Behavior on workplace diversity. Her research interests are also interdisciplinary. Manpreet’s research delves into studying the advantages of diversity. While often seen as a double-edged sword, Manpreet investigates strategies to leverage diversity effectively. She highlights the importance of the positive characteristics and resources individuals bring to the table, examining how these traits can be harnessed to manage diversity and enhance employee attitudes and outcomes.
