We’re all going to have to try harder to be active, but there are many new ways to do so. Here are some of the ways that I’ve found most effective for me and that I’ve heard from others.
This is something I’ve been able to do personally living with my nephew. He finds it fun to be involved in exercising, and it can help me remember and keep my motivation more active. Plus, if you can explain your work to others around you, you’ll be more involved in what you’re learning, and this rehearsal can help a ton for understanding the material.
Setting a schedule has many incredible benefits to being physically active and academically active. If you’re like me, the hardest part is first starting to write, read, or even starting your exercise routine, but it can all flow once you’ve started. Setting a schedule can help a lot when it comes to getting started. Scheduling also helps your time management, which I found hard to balance at the start, though, this has helped alleviate a lot of pressure.
Something I have taken a liking to while spending a lot of time at home is at-home workouts. While these can be new terrain for many, it can be worth it to start whenever and however you feel comfortable. Though for some first ideas, here are a few I have tried and heard of.
The first one is making a circuit workout in which you will have various sets of different activities like burpees, mountain climbers, planks, jumping jacks, etc.
The second idea that I also like to employ is running. Whether it be half a mile or three, there can be many benefits to a good run. Remember to follow local health guidelines, including wearing a face covering and maintaining social distance.
Lastly, if possible, some other workouts would be dips, or inclined push-ups if you have that incline available, and jump rope exercises if you have that possibility.
In the end, my best advice would always be to keep trying. We’re all in this together, and were going to get through. As long as we try, we’ll be able to make the best of ourselves in the meantime.
