2. Say 'Cheers' at a Social Mingle with former peers at Friday's Wine & Cheese All-Poets Social, starting at 6 p.m. at Dezember Alumni House.
3. Explore Uptown Whittier Lace up your sneakers, grab a cup of coffee, and take a walk through Uptown Whittier. Drop in at your favorite hangout spots and explore the new shops that have sprouted since your last visit.
4. Take in Some Talent On Friday at 11 a.m., stop by Dezember Alumni House to enjoy a serenade at the Poet Musicale. Up for some theater? Grab a seat at the Shannon Center to watch the Theatre Arts Department's latest production, Comedy of Errors - performances will take place all throughout Whittier Weekend. Former choir member? Then join us for the Choir Reunion: Rehearsal and Sing-Through on Sunday, starting at 2:30 p.m at Arnold Hall; a reception and dinner will follow later that afternoon.
5. Celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the QC The Quaker Campus is turning 100! In recognition of this landmark occasion, a panel of distinguished alumni and friends will come together to discuss the Future of Journalism on Friday at Villalobos Hall, starting at 4 p.m.
6. Attend a Sporting Event Paint yourself up in purple and gold to cheer on your Poet sport teams as they compete for wins - or 'W's'- in women’s volleyball, men’s soccer, football, and water polo. A Poet Parade of Athletes will take place at half time during the homecoming football game. Bring your cowbell!
7. Make a Splash Dive into the newly-designed Slade Aquatics Center pool, which will have open swim hours from 1 to 3 p.m on Saturday. An Alumni Water Polo Match starts at 1p.m.
8. Tailgate! Tailgate! Tailgate! Try Coach Hogan’s legendary chili and socialize as you show off your Poet pride at Saturday's Annual Homecoming Tailgate Party at 12:30 p.m., right before the "BIG GAME" against Pomona-Pitzer at 3 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Who will be the next Mr. and Ms. Whittier? Stick around for the half-time show to find out! Go Poets!
9. Dust Off Your Dancing Shoes Get ready to boogie down beneath the stars! Poet favorite D.J. Richard Blade will be mixing beats from the 80s and 90s on Saturday at the Whittier Weekend Jam, starting at 8 p.m. at the Campus Center ‘till the clock strikes midnight.
10. Celebrate Tardeada Join us at the 42nd Annual Tardeada, started by our own Martin Ortiz '48, with delicious food, Latin music, traditional folkloric dances, and much more! Event takes place this Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Campus Center courtyard.
