Whittier College was the liberal arts institution with the highest percentage of Latino students in the fall of 2015 according to the data from the U.S. Department of Education.
As such, the college was recently included in a list curated by The Chronicle of Higher Education listing colleges that had the highest number of representation of racial and ethnic groups including American Indian, Asian, Black or African-American, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and Latino. The data encompassed baccalaureate colleges in the United States that have a focus on arts and science, as classified by the 2015 Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.
