As Whittier’s women’s swimming and diving team prepares for the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SCIAC) Championships, the Poets are already receiving recognition outside of the pool for their academic excellence. The College Swimming Coaches Association of America, Inc. (CSCAA) has recognized the team with the Scholar All-American award for the fall semester.
The team finished with a 3.43 grade point average (GPA). The award recognizes teams that have achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2016 fall semester.
