Whittier College Professor of Political Science Joyce P. Kaufman was a recent guest on the history podcast The Road to Now.
Hosted by Bob Crawford and Ben Sawyer, the podcast focuses on how history can help us understand current events. In this episode, Kaufman was asked to speak about the United States’ role in foreign policy starting from the Spanish American war to the present.
Kaufman spoke on the various historical events that parallel today’s news and what lessons can be learned from looking at the past. Kaufman is an expert on international relations and the author of multiple books, including A Concise History of US Foreign Policy (4th edition, 2017).
