Senyo comes in and takes over a Poet program that has seen three consecutive appearances to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Post Season Tournament and a SCIAC Championship Title (2015).
"Trisha is a great fit for this role," Coleman said. "She is respected by student-athletes and coaches, as well as her peers within the world of athletics. Her character, values, and work ethic make her a perfect fit and a valuable asset for Whittier. Trisha's knowledge and previous history at Whittier will allow her to step right into this role and make an immediate impact."
Prior to Whittier, Trisha was the head coach at Chaffey College for two years. In her first season she turned the program around from a losing record and clinched a spot into the West Regional.
"I am honored to follow after such a talented line of coaches and student-athletes at Whittier," Senyo said. "I am very excited for the 2018 season! I am grateful to Whittier College for this opportunity to join an institution, athletic department and softball program with such a successful and rich history and promising future."
