What are the Digital Humanities or Digital Liberal Arts? And how can our Whittier community benefit from them? Whittier’s Digital Liberal Arts Center (DigLibArts) is a collaborative initiative that was created to enhance the liberal arts at the College by empowering faculty, staff, and students to use digital technologies to reshape pedagogical approaches and transform research.
Instructional Media Designer and Co-Coordinator of Whittier’s Digital Liberal Arts Center Sonia Chaidez recently participated in the course “Models for DH at Liberal Arts Colleges (& 4 Year Institutions) held at the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI). The goal for participants was to define what the digital humanities means at each of their institutions and to to build on a model that best reflects each of their campus’ ethos.
