Swimmer Represents the Purple & Gold at Nationals

Poet swimmer Brooke Geske ’21 returned home this week after taking part in the NCAA Division III National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.

She qualified in both the 100 and 200 Back after winning both events during the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships and as her bonus event she elected to swim the 50 Free.

In her top event, the 100 Back, she finished in 15th place with a time of 56.73, garnering Honorable Mention All-American Status, while picking up two points for the Purple & Gold. Her participation made history for the swimming & diving program, becoming the first Poet swimmer to score during the NCAA competition.

Earlier in the season, Geske was names SCIAC Newcomer of the Year.
