Whittier College's second cohort of UniHealth Peer Health Educator Fellows had an opportunity to shadow four health and wellness sites — completing approximately 32 hours of shadowing — plus a day trip to two others to learn more about healthcare careers.
One of the four sites was Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center. The organization recently published an article about the doctors and the positive experience of talking to students and Germán Aguilar-Tinajero, associate director of internships and experiential learning at Whittier College.
