The Whittier College Department of Music at presents the 82nd annual Bach Festival—the oldest collegiate Bach festival west of the Mississippi—taking place on Friday, April 5th and Saturday, April 6th.
This annual festival aims to support the Music Department’s educational mission to enhance the musical experiences of Whittier students and the Southern California community.
The Music Department invites all audiences to join them for two major events:
Bach Poet Musicale
Friday, April 5, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.
FREE admission
Showcasing student and faculty performances of music by Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries.
Bach Festival with the Horizon Chamber Players
Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
$10 suggested donation
A performance of Bach’s cantatas 166, 153, and 199 featuring the Horizon Chamber Players.
Both concerts are open to the public, and will take place in the Whittier College Memorial Chapel, 13406 Philadelphia Street, Whittier, CA.
