Alumnus Jascha Kaykas-Wolff '98 was recently interviewed regarding his expertise as the Chief Marketing Officer for BitTorrent.
BitTorrent recently announced that it would be offering on-demand, original content similar to media produced and distributed by Netflix and Amazon. Kaykas-Wolff explained to ContentStandard that BitTorrent is an Internet protocol, and a company that develops a portfolio of software products based on that protocol. The protocol was created to replace HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol) and is designed to handle large data sets better than HTTP.
Kaykas-Wolff is a longtime marketer whose experience includes Yahoo, Microsoft, Webtrends, and Oracle-owned Involver.
