In the wake of the challenges that Sweet Briar College faced as a small liberal arts college on the brink of closing its doors, the publication University Business interviewed several college presidents, including Whittier College's Sharon Herzberger, to get their take on how they are facing and overcoming challenges in enrollment, fundraising, and other key financial indicators.
“We’re really a model for the student body that is going to be coming to college in the future,” said President Sharon Herzberger to University Business. “One of Whittier’s strengths and why we’re not experiencing the difficulties of some colleges is that we have, throughout our history, tried to be a college that was attractive to a very diverse student body.”
