Whittier’s Institute for Baseball Studies prepares museum updates

Recent Major League Baseball news means exciting changes for the College’s Institute for Baseball Studies.

Because MLB is integrating statistics from roughly 2,300 Negro Leagues players, the museum’s Negro League artifacts now have increased significance.

“This now elevates our stature, it kind of gives us a gold star,” said Whittier College Religious Studies Professor Emeritus Joe Price, co-director for the institute, in an interview with the Southern California News Group.
