Professor of Political Science Joyce Kaufman participated in the Annual Meeting of the British International Studies Association in Edinburgh, Scotland this summer.
At the conference, Kaufman chaired a session titled “A Reexamination of Gender and Post-Conflict Transformation: Issues of Change and Continuity,” which included a number of the women she had worked with as part of a recent grant from the United States Institute of Peace on post-conflict transformation issues.
That grant will result in the publication of a book edited by Kaufman and Kristen P. Williams, from Clark University entitled Women, Gender Equality, and Post-Conflict Transformation: Lessons Learned, Implications for the Future, published by Routledge and due out in late fall-early winter.
