Oregon native Shelby Hunt '18 earned the individual title at the Marymount Fall Invitational golf tournament this month and she led the Poets women's golf team to a second place finish overall. This marks the best finish in the program's history in any tournament/invitational under the tutelage of Head Coach Mike King and it is the first victory for Hunt donning the Purple & Gold.
Hunt finished +14 for the invitational shooting rounds of 81-83-77, which included a +4 in the final round that helped lead the Poets finish with a 1020 beating out Embry Riddle –AZ (1026), Biola University (1050), Marymount University (1092), Simpson University (1097) and Menlo (1237). Only Arizona Christian University would top the final standings shooting a 1005.
