Event Description

Holly Tuckett is a veteran storyteller, filmmaker, and cinematographer. She is drawn to stories that reveal hard truths, complicated characters, and challenge audiences to stretch beyond their comfort level and move into action to create change.

Her most recent feature-length documentary, Anchor Point, looks hopefully to a future in which women within the culture of wildland firefighting will be provided with an equal and safe seat at the table—a future built through the determination of Anchor Point’s main subjects, Kelly, Lacey and the women of WTREX. The film premiered at the 2021 Cinequest Film Festival where it won the Best Feature Documentary Award, after winning the Pitch Award from the 2020 American Documentary Film Festival.
