Actors in It's a Wonderful Life

Every year, students are treated to the Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life, starring their own professors and peers.

Specifically, a lively radio-play adaptation of the film takes the stage at Whittier's Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts. For over a decade, the story of George Bailey and the impact his life has had on his friends, family, and community has been a hallmark of the holiday season at the College.

The production is directed by longtime theater professor Gil Gonzalez, who casts students, faculty, alumni, and professional actors alike. The annual play is an opportunity for selected students to share the stage with seasoned thespians, whether as an actor with a speaking role themselves or as one of the cast providing the on-stage sound effects for the radio drama.
