Lively dancing, delicious food, and a growing sense of community rang in the Ethiopian New Year at Whittier College.

The Ethiopian student club celebrated the annual holiday with their peers, professors, staff, and president this week. Dressed in customary attire, the students shared their culture, served authentic cuisine, and even demonstrated a traditional coffee ceremony that filled a decked-out Club 88 with a beautiful aroma.

Twenty-four young men and women from Ethiopia are studying at Whittier, making them the largest international student group among the more-than 20 foreign nationalities at the College.
