Professor David J. Muller was principal bassoonist with the Mexico City Philharmonic. With this orchestra, he was a featured soloist, made 25 recordings, completed tours of Asia, Europe and North America, and played in the world's most famous concert halls. Since returning to the United States in 1983, Muller has continued his active performing career. He performs regularly with all major Southern California orchestras, opera companies and ballet companies. From 1987 to 2003, Muller was the bassoonist with the critically acclaimed Westwood Wind Quintet and completed numerous tours with that ensemble. He recently completed a Flute/Bassoon duo recording with faculty colleague Danilo Lozano. This CD, as well as those made with Westwood, are available through Crystal Records.
