The Department of Mathematics offers students the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and organizations that promote academic and professional growth, and, more importantly, connect students to peers who want to have fun and build upon their passions.
The Math Club was established to provide a network of acquaintances for those involved in or interested in mathematics, to advance the interests of the members in the areas of mathematics, and to provide assistance to the Whittier College community in said areas.
The Math Club sponsors most of the activities for students, mathematical or otherwise. These include guest lectures, The Problem Solving Group (Putnam, COMAP), and Pi Day.
