Whittier College (the “College”) is a community of students, faculty, staff, and administrators dedicated to teaching, learning, service, and scholarship. The College encourages intellectual exploration in the context of a supportive and respectful community in which students, faculty, staff, and administrators can pursue their education and work free from harassment, coercion, intimidation, and exploitation. To accomplish this goal, the College will not tolerate Sexual Misconduct (as defined below).
To accomplish this goal, Whittier College is committed to providing an educational and employment setting that is respectful and will not tolerate sexual misconduct, including but not limited to, bullying (sex or gender-based), dating violence, domestic violence, harm to others (sex or gender-based), hazing (sex or gender-based), non-consensual sexual contact (or attempts), sexual assault (or attempts), sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, and stalking. Students, faculty, staff, and administrators are expected to adhere to the Whittier College Sexual Misconduct Policy.
This policy was updated on February 5, 2020 and will be updated annually by the Title IX Coordinator.
The College has determined that the following administrators are Officials with Authority to address and correct harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation. Complaints or notice of alleged policy violations, or inquiries about or concerns regarding this policy and procedures, may be made internally to:

Visit the Victim and Survivor Support page to learn more about the resources available to victims and survivors of sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual contact, domestic and dating violence, bullying and stalking that occurs because of a person’s sex/gender or sexual/gender identity.
To report sexual misconduct, students, faculty, and staff can fill out the Sexual Misconduct Reporting Form In addition, anyone can make a report to the Title IX Coordinators (listed above). In such a situation, the Title IX Coordinator or designee(s) will respond and determine appropriate steps, including possible notification and documentation under the Clery Act.
