Whittier's Office of Student Engagement is your one-stop shop when it comes to getting involved, connected, and discovering your potential to be a leader.
Our vision is to create and sustain a learning environment where healthy behaviors are an essential component to your academic and individual success.
As a residential community, we believe you receive the ultimate Whittier experience when you live on campus throughout your first three years as a college student. You’ll find your pursuit of knowledge enhanced. Range of cultural and social opportunities expanded. You will learn more about yourself and others than ever imagined.
We are committed to creating and sustaining a positive campus environment in which students learn, live, and grow.
Our First-Year Experience program for incoming freshmen is designed to help make the transition to college a positive one, paving the road for students’ success both academically and socially.
The Department of Campus Safety works to ensure the safety and well-being of students and employees on the Whittier College campus. Campus Safety officers patrol the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week and perform many security and safety functions on property owned and operated by the College.
These experiences – and so many more – await you at Whittier College.
With the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles just to the west of us and the beaches and amusement parks of Orange County just to the south, Whittier manages to provide students with the ultimate Southern California lifestyle while maintaining a lively campus life of its own.
At Whittier, you’ll never run out of things to do - on campus, in local communities, even abroad. Choose your pursuits from 70 clubs and organizations, 22 NCAA Division III varsity athletics teams, student government, societies (our version of fraternities and sororities), the student newspaper and radio station, and activities and events that get you moving and making lasting memories.
Consider this your early welcome.
