Opportunities for Degrees in Healthcare

Whittier College is committed to expanding educational opportunities for students interested in health professions.

In collaboration with Whittier, Mount Saint Mary's University will offer priority admission consideration to select Whittier College students each academic year for one of two advanced degrees in healthcare.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

Each year, five Whittier College students who meet the prerequisites for Mount Saint Mary's University's ABSN will be given priority admission consideration and, if admitted, a $2,500 scholarship for the first year of enrollment in the program. To be considered, Whittier College seniors must apply and submit their official college transcript with their degree posted.

Doctor in Physical Therapy (DPT)

Each year, five Whittier College kinesiology majors will be given priority admission consideration to Mount Saint Mary's DPT program. Mount Saint Mary's will cover the PTCAS application fee to MSMU for all students at the time of application. Students who are admitted will also receive a $5,000 scholarship for their first year of enrollment in the program. To be considered, Whittier College seniors must apply and submit their official college transcript, with their degree posted indicating a major in kinesiology.
