The group is dedicated to providing leadership and resources to current students through mentorship, promoting career and professional development and empowerment for alumni, maintaining strong ties with Whittier College faculty and administration, and building on the legacy and indomitable spirit of Dr. Martin Ortiz ’48. The association was formed in the early 1970s, and alumni serve as role models for the Latinx students on campus as well as for the Poets of tomorrow.
