LIMITED OPENINGS AVAILABLE AT BROADOAKS SCHOOL
Acclaimed Laboratory/Demonstration School Serves Children in Preschool through Sixth Grade
A very limited number of spaces are available for the 1998-99 school year at Whittier College's acclaimed Broadoaks Children's School. The school enrolls children in preschool through the sixth grade.
Broadoaks is a nationally and internationally recognized demonstration school noted for its developmentally based approach to active learning. The curriculum emphasizes basic skills and critical thinking in all content areas, including language arts, science, math, history, social studies, music, drama, physical education, technology and community service. Teacher-student ratios are approximately 1:15, and parent participation is encouraged. The school offers before- and after-school programs, as well as summer school.
