Amigos '99 Celebrates Latino Culture

The music, dance and food of Mexico, Spain, Columbia and Puerto Rico will be showcased in Amigos '99 at Whittier College on Saturday, May 15. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. on the North Lawn, and the performance begins at 7:30 in the Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts.

Sponsored by the Hispanic Students Association and featuring student performers, the entertainment portion of the show will include colorfully costumed singers and dancers. Tickets are $7 for the general public and $3 for children aged 3-12, and will be sold at the door. Located 18 miles east of Los Angeles, Whittier College is an independent, four-year college offering traditional liberal arts majors and strong pre-professional programs taught in the context of the liberal arts. Whittier Law School, which is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools, is located on a separate campus in Costa Mesa.
