ADD:                      Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel call their music “American
Acoustic,” which is also the name of their latest recording, which
was named best acoustic instrumental album of the year. In more
than 15 years of concert touring, they have found endless
inspiration in the richly varied landscapes and stories of America.
Their compositions have widely-varied influences, including world
music from America, the British Isles and Spain. Tingstad has a
distinctive guitar technique in the Segovian tradition, combined
with his creative finger-style picking and acoustic amplification
design. Rumbel is one of the few performers in the world on double ocarina, oboe and English horn. Their unique combination of
instruments provides a sound that is unusual and unexpected.
