College Offers Management Seminar
WHAT: “The 21st Century
WHEN: 9:30 and 11 a.m., Thursday, May 2
WHERE: Lautrup-Ball Cinema (Hoover 100)

ADD: What will be required of
successful executives in this new century, particularly in light of September
11, the growing conflict across
the world, unprecedented environmental changes and increased
global commerce? Whittier College offers two panel discussions
to explore those questions and more.
At the 9:30
a.m. presentation, the panel will include
Alexander Kramer, executive vice president of the World Trade
Center; Haw-Jan Wu, associate professor of business
administration at Whittier College, and members of the faculty
of the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC).
The 11:30 a.m.
panel includes more UABC faculty members,
Emile Pilafidis, director of the MBA program at the Peter F. Drucker Graduate
School of Management in Claremont, and Kim Thomas,
assistant professor of economics at Whittier College.
The seminar is
sponsored in part by the Murdy Foundation
and the Barbara and David Groce Fund of the San Diego
Foundation. Barbara Groce is a 1957 graduate of Whittier College
who serves as a trustee. Maxine Murdy Trotter also attended
Whittier and is currently a college trustee.
